Dr. Kevin Pollock has taken over the leadership of SC4. A reception held in the college center last evening provided an opportunity for Blue Water residents to meet Dr. Pollock and his family. Members of the community, SC4 faculty and students were in attendance to welcome the new president.
Dr. Pollock came to SC4 from West Shore Community College in Scottville, Michigan. While at West Shore he served as Vice President of Student Services. He also taught as an adjunct faculty member at West Shore. Dr. Pollock has written numerous articles in the higher education field.
In his remarks the new president said he is convinced that Saint Clair County Community College has great potential to serve our county’s educational needs. He showed great enthusiasm for the task he has before him. I wish him well.
SC4 serves as the primary center of higher education for the Blue Water Area. Its goal is to fulfill the diverse needs of our educational community by providing a broad range of educational, cultural and learning opportunities.
We are fortunate to have this institution in our community.
Dr. Pollock, the Board of Trustees, faculty and students deserve our support.
