Port Huron has a rich history. The city has many connections to great people and events. Although many people have contributed a great deal to make Port Huron what it is today, none is more famous than Thomas Edison.
Edison has often been referred to as the WORLDS MOST FAMOUS INVENTOR. Although he’s best known for inventing the electric light bulb and phonograph, he holds 1,093 U.S. patents.
Port Huron has honored his memory with the Thomas Edison museum. In addition Port Huron sculptress Mino Kramer has created his likeness in a statue that stands proudly in the shadow of the Blue Water Bridge.
Thanks, Thomas Edison, for being a part of Port Huron’s rich heritage.
